Operational Logistics & FAQ
What exactly do I get in a session?
A full hour of dedicated aerial coverage (two hours for Group sessions) — we're on you from the moment you paddle out, filming every wave you catch until the session clock is done. All raw, unedited 4K/60fps clips, delivered the same day through a private download link.
How does booking and payment work?
Request a time on the booking page. Your request stays pending while we check the swell, wind, and tides for your window — nothing is charged until we confirm. Once it's a go, your confirmation email includes a secure card payment link (or Venmo). Paying locks in your session.
Airspace & Safety - Where do you fly?
Flights are operated by an FAA Part 107 certified remote pilot outside DLNR restricted zones. We operate primarily on Oahu. Flight locations are strictly dictated by FAA airspace regulations, local DLNR rules, and current weather conditions. Popular legal zones include specific breaks on the South Shore, West Side, and North Shore. We will confirm airspace clearance prior to booking.
Swell Guarantee, What if the conditions are poor?
If the wind is too high for safe drone operation or If the break goes flat or winds exceed safe flight limits on your booked date, the deposit rolls automatically to the next available swell window.
Delivery Turnaround - Do you edit the videos?
Our core service provides the raw, high-resolution clips. Raw, unedited 4K video files and selected high-resolution are uploaded within 24 hours directly to your private download portal. *Full editing, color grading, and compilation (e.g., building a multi-part series or social reel) are available as custom add-ons.
What should I wear so the drone can find me?
Something that stands out — a colored rash guard or top, a bright hat, or a board with some color. It makes you easy to track in a crowded lineup and honestly just looks better in the footage. We'll confirm what you're wearing before you paddle out.
How do we communicate while I'm in the water?
If you have an Apple Watch, we can use walkie-talkie or text right in the lineup — perfect for repositioning, wave counts, or the last-wave call. No watch? We'll set up simple hand signals from the beach before your session.
Can I bring a friend?
That's what the Group session is for — dedicated coverage for up to two surfers over two hours. Split the cost and you've both got footage.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
Life happens — tell us at least 24 hours before your session and we'll rebook you at no charge. Inside 24 hours or no-shows may forfeit the session payment. And if we have to call it off for conditions, you always reschedule free.
